BOARD MEMBER BIOGRAPHY

Michael Conry is currently responsible for Client Coverage within Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s New York Branch with coverage focus on North America.  Prior to joining CBA in September of 2014, Mr. Conry served as a Director and Senior Relationship Banker at Standard Chartered Bank’s New York Branch. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Mr Conry served as Senior Vice President – Global Treasurer at Cantor Fitzgerald.  Michael joined Cantor from BNP Paribas Securities Corp. where he had been Head of Treasury and Liquidity Management since 2001.  At BNP, Mr. Conry was instrumental in the development of the firm’s cash usage model, as well as the implementation of policy that accurately charged for cash and capital usage.  In addition, he chaired the monthly Asset and Liability Committee Meeting, providing detailed liquidity, balance sheet usage, and counterparty activity to all business heads and territory management.  Prior to that, Mr. Conry was Global Equities Balance Sheet Controller at Lehman Brothers where he was responsible for managing the balance sheet, regulatory, and cash capital movements of the Equities Division.  He also chaired the weekly Equities Balance Sheet and Capital Committee Meeting and was a member of the firm’s Finance Committee.

Mr. Conry is a Graduate of Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa and received a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Fordham University School of Business.
